Celebration of Life time changed
The celebration of life for Virginia “Judy” Summerlin has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Sept. 21, rather than 5 p.m. All friends of Judy Summerlin are invited to attend.
The Lady Lynx played against The Meadows Thursday, Sept. 19. Full coverage of the game will be featured in next week’s issue of the Lincoln County Record.
LCHS Homecoming activities
Next week, the Lincoln County High School will be having fun and activities in Panaca. For students, Tuesday through Friday will be dress up days, with a talent show Wednesday, followed by a Powder Puff game at 6 p.m. at the football field. Thursday, the students will have a tailgate dinner, a student alumni spirit celebration, and a special speaker, Gordon Wadsworth from the class of ‘74. A pep rally will be held Friday, followed by the volleyball and football games. Students homecoming dance will be Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m., with Royalty announced at 9.
The LCHS Alumni will be hosting events as well, for classes ‘60 through ‘71. They will have their tailgate party Friday before the games. On Saturday, there will be a catered meal in the Lynx Lair at 3 p.m. Reservations are required. Power Board Public meeting
A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Lincoln County Power District No. 1 will be held at the Lincoln County Courthouse in Pioche on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. The public is invited to hear and comment on the Cost of Service Study and Rate Design for Fiscal Years ending 2013 – 2017.
Water Board meeting
The regular meeting of the Lincoln County Water District Board will be held Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. in the Council chambers at the Lincoln County Courthouse in Pioche. The meeting is open to the public.
