A free seminar is being offered for all interested citizens and public officials that want clarification about the rights and obligations associated with the Nevada Open Meeting Law.

Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Caliente Fire Station, District Attorney Daniel Hooge will be the guest speaker on the topic. The seminar will run from 9 to 11 a.m. with a free continental breakfast.

Your elected and appointed public officials are accountable to you, the citizens. They have rules to follow and you have rights. If you want to learn about the roles of both sides and the obligations that each hold for the other, please plan to attend.

This seminar is sponsored by LCAT and UNCE as part of the Engaged Leadership of Nevada program. For more information or to guarantee a spot, please contact the LCAT event Advisor, Marcia Hurd at 726-3345.
