On Dec. 19 the Lincoln County High girls basketball team hosted the Pahranagat Valley Lady Panthers in the Rick Phillips Gym. The Lady Panthers won the tip and the girls matched up well early in the foul-laden game.

The Lady Lynx then began issues with fouls and racked up five team fouls early in the first period. Pahranagat pulled ahead and lead by a score of 15–10 at the end of the first period. Lynx Kaylee Teel was in foul trouble early with a total of three personal fouls prior to the end of the second period.

The Lady Panthers extended their lead by one in the second period, ending the half with a score of 24 -18. Pahranagat opened the second half shooting a technical foul for an administrative error in the score book. The Lady Lynx struggled shooting from the floor and were unable to match the Lady Panthers for rebounds. The third period ended with Pahranagat Valley leading Lincoln 37-30. The fouls continued throughout the second half and in the fourth period Lincoln County senior forward Jaycee Wadsworth fouled Pahranagat Valley senior Traci Strong. Strong retaliated with an elbow to the face drawing a technical for the intentional foul.

With 2:15 left in the game, Pahranagat Valley led with a score of 45–39. Savannah Harr fouled out of the game with 55 seconds left on the clock. The Lady Panthers extended the lead and won the game with a final score of 57–43.

Strong led the Lady Panthers with 19 and Bailee Hosier added 13.

Savannah Harr put up 15 points and Jaycee Wadsworth contributed 10 to the Lady Lynx effort.

Pahranagat did well at the foul line, connecting on 16 of 24 attempts (67 percent), while the Lynx managed only 7 of 13 (54 percent).

The Lady Lynx are now 0-6 for the preseason.

The Lynx match up against the White Pine Bobcats Friday, Dec. 27. The first match of the new year will be hosting Calvary Chapel on Jan. 7, in a Division III Southern League matchup.
