Filing has completed for the 2014 elections for Lincoln County offices. The County Assessor office received four candidates. They are Collin Bleak from Pioche, Mark Holt from Caliente, Summer Pearce from Alamo, and current County Assessor Melanie McBride.
Three open seats on the County Television District were open for two Pioche seats and one Caliente seat. For Pioche, John Dubovick and Kathy hale are candidates. For Caliente, Frances Harrington filed.
Two seats are up for election this year on the Power Trustees. Dylan Frehner and Robert Rollins have filed for candidacy.
Two candidates also filed for the County Recorder/Auditor office. They are David Severns, Panaca, and current County Recorder/Auditor Leslie Boucher.
11 offices will run unopposed this year. Unopposed candidates for County offices include Lisa Lloyd for County Clerk, Paul Donohue for District B Commissioner, Kevin Phillips for District D Commissioner, Daniel Hooge for District Attorney, Kerry Lee for County Sheriff and Shawn Frehner for County Treasurer. For the Hospital Board of Trustees, candidates are Teresa Hansen for the Pioche District A and Dixie Scarbro as the Alamo District E. The school board candidates are Carolyn Harr for Panaca, District B, Joseph “Ty” Mizer for Caliente, District D, and Wade Poulsen for Alamo, District E.
Five offices this year received no candidates. Two seats on the Pioche Fire Trustees, five seats on the Pahranagat Valley Fire Trustees, five seats on the Alamo Sewer and Water Board as well as five seats on the Alamo Power Board and the District C, Caliente seat, on the Hospital Trustees Board are empty so their boards will have to appoint members.
