The Lincoln Links Golf Association is preparing for the 2014 golf league for anyone interested in playing. The league has operated for 10 years with as many as 12 teams and has golfers at all levels, some who had only played a little before, some good golfers, and some old-timers still playing. Everyone enjoys it.
The play will consist of nine-hole handicapped matches between two-person teams, to be played once a week with day and time to be arranged at the discretion of the teams involved. Pick your own team or we will get you a partner. Play will start in the middle of May. Substitutes can be used, so if you have other commitments, game play won’t be affected.
In order to establish your handicap, it will be necessary to turn in scores for at least two nine-hole rounds, played with our league rules which are posted at the course, before league starts.
If you need someone to play with to get started, call Keith.
Previous players can turn in scores for a new handicap or start against last years handicap. There is a slot in the donation and scorecard box at the course where you can turn in your scores, or they can be given to either of the board members listed below.
Read the rules of play carefully, as there are some differences from standard golf rules because of the nature of the course. Be sure to play by these rules to establish your handicap so that everyone will be on the same page.
The Lincoln Links Golf Association now has a golf cart available for $5 for those who may need it.
