LTC Douglas Hinkley will graduate from the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, and will earn a Master’s of Strategic Studies degree on July 25. The Army War College Distance Education course is taught over two years consisting of rigorous distance-learning combined with two resident sessions. The Master’s program focuses on strategic issues that affect every aspect of national security such as international relations, regional interests, and contemporary military issues. The goal is to provide future senior leaders with the intellectual tools to become creative and strategic critical thinkers. Completion of the program also confers Joint Professional Military Education I credit which is an important step towards further career advancement.
LTC Douglas Hinkley is the recently rotated out of Battalion Command for the 2-235th Modular Training Battalion and is currently the Regimental Deputy Commander. LTC Hinkley and his family currently resides in Pueblo West, Col. LTC Doug Hinkley graduated from Lincoln County High School, Panaca, NV., in 1982.
Hinkley said, “I will be in DC graduating from the War College during the reunion, so I will not be able to attend the reunion. I would love to be there.”
