The PVHS girls broke a four-game losing streak and opened league play last Friday with a 57-24 win over Indian Springs.

Freshmen teammates Karley Whipple and Madalyn Taylor led the Panthers. Whipple had 13 points and Taylor added 10.

Pahranagat (5-8, 1-0) led 20-3 after one quarter.

Sevanna Morgando led Indian Springs (0-10, 0-1) with 12 points as only three Thunderbird players scored.

PVHS finished their non-league play this season at Virgin Valley last Saturday and suffered a 40-29 loss.
Spencer Green and Emma Barnum scored 12 points apiece for the Bulldogs.

Kourtney Metzger added eight points for Virgin Valley (8-5), which outscored Pahranagat Valley 19-10 in the second half.

Karley Whipple had 12 points to lead the Panthers (5-9).

It’s back to league play now for the remainder of the season for the girls. Their next nine games are all league contests. They host Beaver Dam (3-1, 1-1) on Friday and go to Lund (1-4, 1-0) on Saturday.
