2The A&H Livestock Club held two separate clinics Feb. 21 and March 14, to help prep 4-H youth for the upcoming Clark County Livestock Show and Fair.

Guest clinician Cindy Shakespeare from Logandale, Nev., shared a, “wealth of knowledge through hands-on training,” said Hayley Gloeckner, 4-H Extension Agent, who offered much thanks to Shakespeare.

Debbie Meldrum, leader, stated, “It’s amazing to watch how a youth at last year’s clinic did not want to be within 10 feet of their steer, and this year, they’re in the arena with the confidence to do what is required to show their animal.”

Meldrum and leader Sue Higbee have been working hard with the youth and parents to once again bring a winning team of youth to represent Lincoln County at the livestock show April 9-11.

We wish all the youth in the 4-H and FFA the best of luck.
