Panaca NDOT supervisor Brad Lloyd said the 14-mile stretch being worked on is between milepost 95 and 109. Traffic delays are to be expected.
“We’re chip sealing this week,” he said, “then we will spray the flush seal next Monday and Tuesday to finish the project.”
Flush seal, he said, is the coat of oil that goes over the top of the chips. Later, NDOT will put in the centerline and sideline markings.
It is part of the summer projects NDOT had said they would be doing in the county, but no other chip seal projects are planned this year in Lincoln County.
