The Neldon C. Mathews Center in Panaca came alive on Sept. 24-26 and 28 as local adults from throughout the county performed in “A Little off Broadway.”
This musical production has become a local favorite and was well-attended most of the nights. People were even turned away Monday night, as the seats were full.
Steffanie Thornock directed the musical production, with help from Jake Lester as her assistant director. All of the pieces were choreographed by Mindy Anderson. Others who participated in the production included Natalie Hooge, Marty Bushman, Bart Anderson, Anthony Poulson, Jared and Vanessa Plunkett, Marie Bleak, Dylan and Caralee Frehner, Don Ficken and Nikki Carter. The cast had been rehearsing since the beginning of July, requiring many long nights and a lot of effort from everyone.
“A Little Off Broadway” has been performed in Lincoln County since 1990, originally directed by Kathy Tucker. It has hit the stage most every year since then and is now performed every other year.
Lincoln County residents expressed gratitude to have people willing to share their talents and who are also willing to put forth many long hours of rehearsals to make the show successful year after year.
