An accident occurred on Highway 93 on March 9 around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection with the north entrance road the Pahranagat Lakes.

According to Sergeant Guy Davis of the Nevada Highway Patrol, a white GMC pickup pulling a camp trailer was northbound approaching the entrance road, while a blue Freightliner, commercial vehicle pulling a flatbed trailer was also northbound behind the pickup. The pickup slowed to turn left onto entrance road and the Freightliner stopped behind. A red Toyota pickup towing another Toyota pickup was southbound, approaching the north entrance. The pickup pulling the camp trailer turned left on to the north entrance road in front of the Toyota pickup.

The driver of the red Toyota pickup applied heavy braking and avoided collision. However, the driver lost control and traveled into the northbound lane. The Toyota struck the trailing unit attached to the Freightliner. The pickup being towed by the Toyota disconnected and also struck the trailing unit.

Troopers say everyone was wearing seatbelts, and there were no injuries.
