The Lincoln County High School volleyball team traveled to top-of-the-league Calvary Chapel for a doubleheader. Calvary entered the contests with 20-5 record, while the Lynx were at 16-12 and fourth in the 2A Southern League.
Lincoln played hard but still lost both matches, 12-25, 12-25; 5-25, 17-25.
It was an uphill battle for most of the night for the Lynx, with the low point being the first game of the second match, where the team could only muster five points.
However, the Lynx finally approached Calvary’s level in the final game, putting up 17 points before it was over.
Lincoln (16-14, 7-5) remains fourth in the league behind Calvary, The Meadows (22-7, 12-0) and Needles (14-8, 8-3).
