The Pahranagat Valley High School track team competed at The Meadows Weekday on April 5.

The Panthers were joined by 1A Beatty and Word of Life, 2A Lake Mead, Laughlin and The Meadows and 4A Bishop Gorman and Clark.

For the boys, sophomore Isbiel Rierra earned a personal record in the 200 meters with a time of 25.60 seconds. Sophomore Garrett Bowen PR’d in the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes 19.50 seconds.

Austin Mathews was first among 1A competitors in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:30.40.

For the girls, senior Jessica Harrington was first among 1A schools in the 400 meters with a time of 1:16.00.

Freshman McKenzie Poulson PR’d in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 20.80 seconds. Poulson and Harrington were first and second respectively in the long jump. Poulson PR’d with a distance of 14 feet 4 inches, and Harrington jumped 12-04.00.

The team doesn’t have another meet scheduled until April 21 for the Richard Lewis Invitational at Moapa.
