Little Books, Little Cooks classmates hold up their certificates after completing the summer program.

Little Books, Little Cooks held its final classes at the end of July in Caliente and Alamo. The children learned their last lesson on fruits and vegetables with Donna Jones and Brianna Tibbetts. They made their Yummy Summer Salad with lettuce, pineapple, mandarin oranges, strawberries, blueberries, cheese, sunflower seed kernels and poppy seed dressing. The children then received their white aprons and chef’s hats along with their certificate of completion and bag of measuring utensils and other goodies.

This class will be offered again next summer. The two locations are to be determined still between Alamo, Caliente, Panaca, and Pioche.

Congratulations to the students for learning so much this summer and tasting all of the great food they made with their parents. The students had a lot of fun participating and learning from their teachers.
