Mountain biking enthusiasts are invited to Beaver Dam State Park for the annual Gravel Grinder.

The event is set for June 16 at 7 a.m.

The annual mountain bike event is a day’s trek over miles of gravel and dirt across cattle ranges, through settler homesteads, around isolated ranches, and past the historic one-room Barclay Schoolhouse.

Two routes are offered: 35 or 45 miles.

Lunch will be served at the Barclay Schoolhouse and an after-ride BBQ will be provided under the pavilion in the park.

The cost is $40 and includes ride and park entry, lunch, and after-ride BBQ.
